PSTAR Exam Prep

Description
This could be the first course you take from us and it prepares you for what used to be called the PSTAR exam. It is now essentially known as the Student Pilot Permit Exam. You must pass this exam in order to obtain your Student Pilot Permit and fly solo!.

The first solo flight is something you will never forget. To be up in the air for the first time without your instructor. It all rests on you, every decision, every move. At the end of this flight, your confidence will have grown, you will open new avenues of training, and will join a few that have flown an airplane by themselves.

Within this course is a series of questions with attached links to reference materials. The course is broken down into various sections to maximize your training and optimize your success. At the conclusion of the course you will be required to score 90% or higher on 3 practice exams. If you can do that with us there's nothing stoping you from doing that on the real test!

To create the exam Transport Canada pulls 50 questions from the study and reference guide also known as TP11919. These questions are the exact same ones found in this course. The pass mark for the real exam is 90% corrected to 100% by your flight training facility.

The Guide itself is broken down into 14 sections covering the following topics:

Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
Air Traffic Control Clearances and Instructions
Air Traffic Control procedures as they apply to the control of VFR traffic at controlled airports
Air Traffic procedures at uncontrolled airports and aerodromes
Special VFR Regulations
Aeronautical Information Circulars
NOTAMs
